Sun City - Roseville - Rose Creek #2 - Fine Finish Cabinetry Painting & Partial Interior Repaint

A wine cooler is sitting in a kitchen between two cabinets.

A Customer we had been working with planning a few painting projects with back in February, before the COVID-19 Outbreak, made the correct decision to postpone work until economic horizons became a little more stable. We completely understood and agreed that the safety and well being of all the folks in the community, especially Sun City's retirement community was more important, so we made our customer a promise that we would honor the original bid price whenever they felt they were ready to resume with the project. A few months later, as the community started opening itself back up in mid June, our customer contacted SacPlacer Painting and we worked out a work schedule that would keep everyone safe. The customer trusted us to begin work on the home as they left for the week to visit family. We took advantage of the time we had and worked longer hours in order to complete the job and clean the finished work areas before the homeowners returned from vacation. We had contracted to paint both the interior as well as all the kitchen cabinetry, in a two toned color scheme, which took a bit more time and attention to detail. I decided the best course of action was to complete the cabinet boxes inside the home so the customers could return home without our interference, but I packed up the cabinet doors and drawer faces to resume work at my local shop in Roseville where I have a spray station set up. This gave me some additional time to focus on getting the cabinet doors and drawers as close to perfect as possible. I decided it would be best to use a grain filler on the cabinet doors and drawers in order to get the best finished product possible even though I hadn't charged for it in the original bid. The end result was outstanding and the customer was more than happy with the finished product, even though they came home to and lived with a kitchen that had no cabinet doors for a few days. After taking the extra time to use the grain filler you couldn't even tell which doors where originals and which where the new doors as part of the addition to their kitchen. Another satisfied customer and satisfied painter, hard work and attention to detail really pays off in the end.
